The Intelligent Investor: The Classic Text on Value Investing
By Benjamin Graham
Widely regarded as one of the best investing books of all time. Despite the book’s original 1949 publish date, the information is still relevant today—after being revised several times. The latest revision was released in 2003.
From the words of Warren Buffett—it is “By far the best book on investing ever written.”
The author, Benjamin Graham, achieved returns of 14.7% annually—vs 12.2% for the US stock market as a whole—from 1936-1956 while employing his value investing methodology.
You'd be hard-pressed to find a better person to teach you the value investing strategy than the man who coined the term “value investing”.

Rich Dad Poor Dad: What The Rich Teach Their Kids About Money – That The Poor And Middle Class Do Not!
By Robert T. Kiyosaki
This is my favourite personal finance book of all time. In this book, Robert compares his rich dad (his friend's dad) to his poor dad (his dad) and the ways in which the men shaped his thoughts on money, investing and success.
One of the facts the Robert constantly reiterates throughout the book is to purchase income generating assets. i.e. stocks, bonds and real estate—instead of liabilities i.e. luxury cars, a house (highly debated) and anything else that “takes money out of your pocket”.
This book is labeled the #1 personal finance book of all time and was originally published in 1997.
Rich Dad Poor Dad has sold over 32 million copies in more than 40 languages across more than 40 countries and has been on the New York Times bestsellers list for over six years.
