3. Become an Uber Driver
Becoming a rideshare driver is a great way to make money on the side. Side hustlers love ride-sharing apps for their flexibility and frequent pay schedules.
Some of the big rideshare players are Uber and Lyft. I'm going to explore Uber as it has a larger market share in the U.S. (60% for Uber vs 23% for Lyft).
Almost anyone can drive with Uber, here are some of the minimum requirements you must meet to drive with Uber:
- Meet the minimum age to drive in your city
- Have at least one year of licensed driving experience in the US (3 years if you are under 23 years old)
- Have a valid US driver’s license

Uber operates on a weekly pay schedule—but offers daily paychecks if you use Flex Pay!

Uber drivers typically make between $15-$25 an hour. Uber takes a 25% cut of your fares and you make the rest.

Once you have completed your registration (which includes a background check) you are good to go. You keep 80% of your delivery fee, which starts at $5.

5. Offer Music Lessons

If you know how to play the electric guitar, keyboard, piano or another musical instrument, consider offering music lessons in your area.
There are so many great ways to monetize your talent as a musician!
How to Make Money Selling Music Lessons
If you're going to take your music lesson business seriously, I recommend that you build a music teacher website.
A website makes you more accessible, allows you to scale your business—and looks professional! Otherwise, you can simply create a Facebook page and go from there.
Here are a few ways you can make money selling music lessons:
In-person lessons: Offering in-person music lessons for a fee is a great way to start your business. In-person lessons typically last from 30-60 minutes and will earn you anywhere from $15-$60—or roughly a dollar a minute.
Online lessons: Offering in-person lessons is a great way to start earning some income—but is hard to scale. You can expand your business by offering live lessons on Skype, or Facetime to enable you to reach even more clients!
Group Lessons: Group lessons allow you to generate even more money! You will earn less money per person with this method but will see an increase in earnings per hour—by increasing the number of clients you teach at a time!
